So what do we do when we don't like something or something get's on our nerves or pisses us off? We bitch and complain right, but that seems to be the just of it. We don't take a stand! We don't address the issue! We just rant and rave about it and maybe we take it out on others, like our spouses or our family members and friends.

We need to STOP! We need to speak up and speak on it! If we as a community start speaking on it then the City Council and the Board will have no choice but to change something's. Now I'm saying to go down to a City Council meeting and start going off and cussing folks out. What I am saying is that nothing changes unless we take a stand. I started my Non-Profit Organization in 1 month. I don't have a BA or a completed AA. I have a High School Diploma and some community College credits for about 2 years.

I was driven to Make It Happen and I did. I had my own office and was actually training students and placing people in open positions. I helped change some lives and the process used was working. The down fall was that I was a non-profit Organization and received 0 funding. I received help from my mother and husband and we did 1 car wash. Everything was paid for by my family and my self. I even provided students with Interview attire. I would latterly take my participants to Goodwill and let them pick out 2 pairs of dress pants, 2 matching dress shirts and dress shoes. ALL without funding from the County/City.

Everyday I receive request from people that want to participate in my program but I can't do it anymore. I don't have the funds to pay for the office space and provide all the material's that I need. Have applied for grants and funding? Yes, what do you think? I am a nobody in the eyes of the City/County. They have favorites that get first priority. I am providing services for the disadvantaged and unemployed and that would take away from the NON Working WORKFORCE & ONESTOP Programs. Who is going to admit that these programs that generate Millions of dollars for the City are not cutting it?? For the programs to continue to get the funding for these programs they must provide the Funding Department with participant Social Security Numbers.. What I think they do is give the Social Security Numbers for all the people on welfare or receiving aid from the City/County. There should be an investigation in the funding department for these programs and a lot of the other programs receiving money for nothing. Like the Housing program is crap.. The DDPS is full of it. Rude, Disrespectful, Liars, In-competent, Uneducated, & I got a lot more.. They need to truly go undercover into these places.

That's what YOU as the community have to SPEAK ON! If the programs helped you then please share your story.. Share your experience using these programs if you have participated. I have before and it got me NO WHERE! The only thing I see people doing is using the computers which you can do at a Library. I also tried one of those training classes for employment hiring and it was crap.. The trainer was rude and moody and didn't want to answer any questions.
