WTF? Riverside, CA builds things like Aquatic Pools  and what not. We need to be able to support our family's. not swim in some damn pool. We do not need another $200,000 new Orange Terrace Library with a real tree for story time or some water park that know-one can afford to go too. Funding that's suppose to be for community rebuilding and development is obviously not being directed in the right place. I have a non-profit organization and I run into people on a daily basis that ask for my help and assistance, but I can barely afford my office space right now because every place I have applied for funding or grants or donated monies or even Goodwill contributions for my program attendees first interview day, I get turned down.. How can I help our community with employment assistance if I can't get help from my County, State or Government? I don't have a structured business set up or a Board of Directors that can really dedicate their time but I do have a will and determination to provide my community with services and assistance that they are definitely not receiving from the County of Riverside. Please take a look at the Riverside County Board of Supervisors page by clicking here. I almost cried when I saw how much money is being put into animals and parks and programs that are in Palm Desert or San Francisco or even a damn Boxing Gym. We need to focus on what is IMPORTANT here for our community like the humans before the animals people. Come-on, I know they are cute and cuddly but do I want to see my neighbor and his family homeless or a cat or dog roaming the streets or without food? I do not want to see either but if I had to make a choice, there is no reason for me to ever have to think twice and that is exactly what it seems like the Board of Supervisors and City Counsel members are doing. They rather beautify the City of Riverside CA. The undesirable people (displaced or disadvantaged, previously incarcerated) they can lock-up. It will never work, so we all need to come-up with a real re-development
plan.

  3. I agree with you. The Inland Empire region has the highest rate of unemployment in California. Jobs needs to be created and funding needs to be re-allocated to businesses/organizations that help the community as a whole. Great post and keep pushing.
